FAQs

1. Question: Can I gain CPD points by attending courses or watching training videos?

Answer:

CPD points are awarded based on time and application of learned skills or information. Therefore, the workshops will count towards CPD points, depending on how long you are in the workshop or how long you study the videos, and how you apply them in your treatments. See the APA website for further details.

2. Question: What is the difference between 1:1 training, and a workshop?

Answer:

1:1 Training is primarily for Real Time Ultrasound, working on specific muscle groups with an experienced physiotherapist. These training sessions are 1hr in duration and are generally held on Weekdays. The Workshops cover various topics and techniques, and presenters cover anatomy, research, applications and implementation, around the Francine St George method of assessment and treatment. The Workshops are held over weekends, on a Saturday afternoon and full day Sunday.

3. Question: Are there pre-requisites for the workshops?

Answer:

Physiotherapists, physical therapists (Overseas trained) and allied health professionals are welcome to attend our courses. There are no specific pre-requisites other than these degrees. For more information, please email info@physiocoachingacademy.com.

4. Question: I can’t get to Sydney to attend a course; do you offer online training?

Answer:

We currently have 16 downloadable clips of the practical techniques taught in our workshops.

5. Question: Will there be tests or exams?

Answer:

Your skills are assessed and refined throughout the practical components of each workshop; there are no tests or exams as such.

6. Question: What is the format of the workshops?

Answer:

Workshops are kept to a small number of attendees, to offer personalised tuition and plenty of practical experience. Weekend workshops are usually set on Saturday from 1pm-6pm, and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Snacks, Sunday lunch and training materials are provided.
